Emma Bush, LCMT and licensed Doula graduated from the Soma Institute of Massage Therapy here in Chicago, one of the few schools nationwide that puts a heavy emphasis on human anatomy, pathology, physiology, orthopedic tests, and kinesiology. She was motivated by a passion for health and wellness along with a desire to help those who struggle with chronic pain and stress. She excels at deep tissue, abdominal visceral, myofascial work and lymphatic drainage. She has helped heal a long list of ailments with her clients and has a remarkably high success rate in her treatments. Excited to pass on her thorough knowledge of the body and it’s functions; Emma creates a valuable bridge between you and the many questions you may have about the complexities of your body.
Growing up not only a vigorous athlete but immersed in a family of medical professionals, just outside of Chicago, Emma took a particular interest in the study of kinesiology and physiology. She started working on family members and friends from a very young age, quickly developing her curiosity for alleviating pain with tissue manipulation. This fascination was further advanced by an issue that had plagued her for years with many attempts but no success from traditions Western antibiotics, and suggested steroids. She was finally prompted to see an abdominal visceral therapist who was able to solve the issue in just a couple sessions. She was incredibly grateful and inspired by the miraculous results caused by human touch and a genuine drive to get to the root problem. Soon after she decided to begin her career in Clinical Massage Therapy. Since then she has worked alongside chiropractors, acupuncturists, nutritionists, and physical therapists for a number of year taking in their expertise and integrating them into her practice.
Emma’s next goal is to gain her degree in osteopathy to supplement her knowledge of the body and be able to better treat those who she is able to work on. She is deeply driven to provide a holistic experience that puts the needs and concerns of her clients first, aiding in their recovery and well being.
